few week ago i received KULT MAGAZINE. from italy to france it took a long way to fall directly in my mail box. the real mail box, and i love it! i love to receive real mail.

the waiting, the surpise, the smell of paper freshly printed, the glacée-pages’s sensation under my fingers. the action of tourning a real page, and not just the action of scrollingf  it.

and with this KULT MAGAZINE febrary issue, cames another news:

i’ll be also in the march issue!

and my work will illustrate the Isabella Santacroce’s interview. she’s one of the most talented italian writers. her words are like gold blades in a little red velvet purse, they make you bleed but they’re irresistible. 

the works they used is an old one i made just for  Isabella (and it was inspired by her book VM 18) so i’m very proud they choose it.

L’arte e la moda non sono mai state così vicine. A partire dai primi anni Novanta sempre più brand hanno dato vita ad omonime fondazioni e spazi dedicati alla creatività, sostengono premi importanti, aprono al pubblico le proprie collezioni o supportano eventi temporanei e collaborazioni con artisti. Ma come vedono la moda di oggi e di domani i giovani artisti? KULT ha chiesto a 10 talenti dell’arte contemporanea, che usano mezzi disparati, dal video all’installazione, dalla pittura all’illustrazione, di interpretare la moda e realizzare in esclusiva 10 copertine per il numero di febbraio 2010.

È nata una straordinaria galleria inedita di immagini presentate in esclusiva nazionale nella cornice della prestigiosa manifestazione Pitti Uomo, presso l’Armeria: dalla ragazzina mascherata di Nicoz Balboa (sorta di “Alice nel paese del sadomaso durante una festa a Versailles”) al gioco linguistico di Letizia Cariello (Headache), dalle metamorfosi di Tamara Ferioli e di Michael Fliri ai cut up di Andrea Mastrovito e Jacopo Miliani, dall’erotismo sintetico di Elena Nemkova alla dark lady che indossa un paio di scarpe col tacco a forma di banana (di warholiana memoria) di Valerio Rocco Orlando, dall’ironia tagliente di Laurina Paperina fino alla “seconda pelle” nell’autoritratto di Sissi.

Dopo la presentazione in anteprima delle 10 copertine a Firenze (Pitti Uomo), il numero speciale di febbraio sarà lanciato in due eventi al Museo Madre di Napoli e al Teatro Litta di Milano.

KULT è un mensile distribuito in edicola, nei bookstore, nelle Accademie e nei principali concept store delle maggiori città italiane.

MEKANEKO est la toute première sortie du label “art pop” VENUSDEA.

Conçu par l’artiste italien MATTEO DE LONGIS, MEKANEKO est un chat mécanique articulé qui semble s’être échappé d’un Tokyo futuriste hyper-urbain.

MEKANEKO se dévoilera sur différents supports originaux imaginés par son créateur. Il sera également revisité et personnalisé par quelques artistes internationaux.

Créé par Barbara Canepa, VENUSDEA est un label d’art international – “Artpop label” – un espace d’expression dédié aux illustrateurs, designers, photographes et peintres issus des quatre coins du monde. Ces artistes, influencés par la culture « pop surréaliste » américaine, l’illustration et l’art de rue européen, et les mangas « new pop », forment une véritable communauté internationale mêlant artistes reconnus et jeunes talents : Junko Mizuno, Nicoletta Ceccoli, Ciou, Lilidoll…Nicoz Balboa

I’ve just update the artworks section with some new  pencils on paper.  go have a look and tell me what do you think about them.

…uh!! i was almost about to  forget  it:  happy new year!^^

wellcome to my brand-new website. i tried to keep it simpler than the older one.                                                                                                                                             here you’ll find an artworks section, with all my pyrography on wood, my works on paper, my comics, my (rock)posters and also a section for old paintings and old/various stuff. i’d like to find a smarter way to show the immages so you don’t have to open them one by one but you would just scroll them or see them all with a “>>” but i’m not so nerdy and i’m not able to do it by my self  so i’ll do it when i’ll find someone to help me (^^). in the bio section you’ll find my working-life, my collaborations and my publications. in the exhibitions section you’ll find a detailed-list of all the art-show i took part and soon i’ll add also some pics of those events.  then clik on the presse/reviews section for a preview of all my  stuff featured on the press.  i promise to update the store section as soon as possible, but for the moment for any question/purchase/say-hi/or-whatever just click on the write me section. and finaly you could click on blog to come to my brand new blogspot space,  it’s still empty but new notes will comes very soon.  i would also add a link section with links to stuff i like and to stuff i’m in (flickR, galleries,facebook etc etc) but this is all in progress for the moment. so stay tuned.
